The safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and community are the top priority of our office. We have voluntarily suspended elective dental care thorugh May 31st as requested by the CDA and latest extension of the Santa Clara County shelter in place mandate. We will continue to be available as needed for emergency and urgent dental care and virtual consults by appointment. We look forward to being able to safely serve you all soon!

EMERGENCY & URGENT SERVICES

Please contact us if you are experiencing severe dental pain, abscess, severe swelling, tooth fracture resulting in pain or causing soft tissue trauma, dental trauma with such as avulsion/luxation, or your temporary restoration is lost, broken or causing gingival irritation we will get you scheduled. Please email or call (408) 523-4030 so that we can assess and schedule or refer as needed.

Please do not go to the emergency room or urgent care at this time for a dental emergency.

UPDATED PROTOCOLS

On top of universal precautions, our office has implemented additional protocols to minimize the spread of the virus:


– Please call and wait in your car: When you arrive, please call to check-in. At this time only the patient and a legal guardian are allowed in the office.
– Temperature screening: We will check your temperature and if it is over 99.4F, we will ask you to reschedule.
– Screening questions: We will ask that you sign and verify that you have NOT:

  • Experienced coughing, fever and shortness of breath in the last 72 hours.
  • Traveled in the last 21 days,
  • Been in close contact with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19. If any of the above applies to you or your temperature is above 99.4F, we will ask you to reschedule.

– Hand hygiene: Please wash your hand or use hand sanitizer at the start and end of your visit.
– Pre- procedure rinse: We will have you swish with 1.5% hydrogen peroxide for 1 min before the start of your visit.
– Hospital-grade HyperHEPA air filtration: IQ Air is a multi-stage medical grade air purification system unit that filters out more than 99.5% of all airborne particles down to 0.003 microns.
– Contactless payment: Apple Pay and Google Pay are preferred. Please add your FSA/HSA cards to your phone apps.

We have designated staff that will wipe surfaces down every hour. In addition, the appointment time is also lengthened to allow proper disinfection between patients. Lastly, we have the proper PPE as recommended by public health officials to safely operate on patients.

NEW PATIENT TOOLS

We have some new tools that we have implemented to help us take care of our patients even from afar:

– Virtual consults: We are set up for secure tele-dentistry consults at https://doxy.me/jenchiang.

-Autonomous scheduling: Please schedule a consult using calendly. We are still routinely checking email and voicemails.

– Prescription delivery: Please download NowRx app so that we can call in a prescription for same-day delivery in the SF bay area.

– Virtual Invisalign consults: Please download the MyInvisalign app so that we can receive your photos and notes for virtual consultations.

As these are new tools, there may be some bumps in the rolling out of their implementation. We appreciate your understanding and patience!
